Sony Ericsson supports independent developers for Xperia

image

More great news for Xperia users as Sony Ericsson now supports independent developers for Sony Ericsson Phones. The post was made by a man called Karl-Johan Dahlström (He is the one who is holding the Xperia above with CM7) he says “we recognize that custom ROMs are a part of the Android ecosystem.” and goes on to say “we firmly believe in the openness of Android™, and we are really impressed by the huge activity shown in our products”. It’s a great feeling when Manufactures of Android Phones open their doors to developers for custom ROM’s !

Android Honeycomb for PC

image

Found something nice while checking how the Android-x86 developer group is doing with their Android porting to x86 and they seem to be doing great releasing a release candidate for Gingerbread. While I was looking i noticed they ported Honeycomb 3.2 to x86 it’s worth checking it out in a virtual machine instead of Google’s Emulator as this port run’s very smoothly. The port also has Google Android Market and many other applications but sadly the is no internet connection as this is only an early build.
