After Samsung loses its fight with Apple resulting to the ban of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (even though Apple failed to ban Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Germany) , Samsung is now preparing to fight back Apple by filling a case to stop the release of the incoming iPhone 5 in South Korea.
According to KoreaTimes, Samsung is readying to file a case putting Apple to court at Korea. It is said that Samsung’s patent on wireless technologies seems to be used in the iPhone 5. Also, Samsung claims that iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPad 2 violates seven patents which is also related to wireless technology. Samsung is only targeting the iPhone 5; maybe it is because Samsung is to release an Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone the same time with Apple’s iPhone 5.
With this action of Samsung, SK Telecom KT, Korea’s top two mobile carrier and resellers of iPhones, is at risk to be affected significantly.
